We have a floor ... or so I've heard. I've not actually seen it. Matt and I went home for lunch and here's what we saw at the time (unfortunately I didn't have the camera with me) ...
- the basement windows were bricked in (they were useless windows anyway, and we needed the support)
- about 75% of the new floor joists were in ... bright, shiny new beams.
Apparently the crew worked until 11pm last night getting everything demo'ed and then rebuilt!
I got an update this afternoon from our General Contractor, Jeff. All of the beams are in, there is a subfloor on top of the beams, and everything is withing 1/8" of level. Woohoo! So now you can walk across our floor and not fall into the basement :)
The electrician is supposed to come tomorrow morning. We should have power by the time Jenn & the Tri-girls are done with the Mini-Marathon (or soon there after), and we can check out of the B&J B&B. I have to say though, Lucy is enjoying living in the lap of luxury here in the Creek ... minimum of 2 walks a day, plenty of wildlife to smell and stalk, and humans that are much more likely to "drop" table scraps for her. She may not want to leave :)
